Magnus Sahlgren
PhD in computational linguistics from Stockholm University. Has worked on computational models of meaning since 2000 at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS). Sahlgren's dissertation "The Word-Space Model" was awarded the prize for the most prominent scholarly achievement of 2006 at the Stockholm University Faculty of Humanities. His current research focus is to develop and apply scalable and efficient distributional semantic models to various real-world text analysis problems such as exploring large text collections and real time text streams.
